Give Yourself Forgiveness

Give yourself forgiveness.

Give yourself grace.

Grace. The kind of grace that occurs when you yell at someone, and then later that individual is kind and compassionate to you. That is Grace. Give yourself that kind of compassion.

Grace. When you yell at a child and the child hugs you in forgiveness. Give yourself that kind of forgiveness. Hug yourself.

Give yourself grace.

Give yourself forgiveness as a method for dealing with the weight of sorrow.

You cannot spend time with “what ifs.” You cannot spend time criticizing yourself. Your personal berating sounds like a critical judge scolding you for the things you did not do, scolding you for things you did do.

If you are grieving. If you are carrying guilt—give yourself grace. Give yourself forgiveness. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes.

Give yourself grace. This is not a time to demand too much from yourself.

Forgive yourself—if you can’t let go of the big things, then, start by forgiving small things.

Find support—you need someone who will listen and unconditionally love you.

Leon Brown says,

“You cannot travel back in time to fix your mistakes, but you can learn from them and forgive yourself for not knowing better.”

Joel Osteen succinctly states what we believe,

“Forgiveness is a choice, but it is not an option.”

Give yourself grace. Give yourself forgiveness.
